It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of our brother, Deacon George Wheeler. A gentle, witty spirit with a love for his family, his church and the fellowship of the Christian Education classroom–he shall be missed.
Please keep Deaconess Mary Wheeler, Sis. Tori Ewing and the rest of his family and loved ones in prayer.

Arrangements
The funeral will be on Friday, December 2 at Progressive 8324 W. Keefe Avenue. The viewing will be at 12 pm and the funeral at 1 pm.
The Wheeler’s have asked for a brief funeral. We will honor the family with brevity and celebrate the beauty of life. The committal will be at Graceland Cemetery, 6401 N 43rd Street. The repast will also be at Progressive.

I was very close to the Wheeler family growing up and still am. George was like a brother to me. I was shocked and saddened by his sudden passing. He will be missed by his family, friends, community and and church family, but George can now collect his well deserved Crown from the Lord. Continued prayers for his Wife Mary/the entire Wheeler Family as well. Love you all💕

I’m on Saturday evening Bible class which is a Sunday school class Deacon George Wheeler recommended that I attend I did and he gave me influential lessons and now I attend it regularly He was proud that more men were participating in The Bible class And I’m going to miss him attending The Bible class it’s the way he teach was solid

I will remember George Wheeler as a Sunday school and biblical class teacher He impressed me with his clarity and teaching The Bible class and he at last conversation was that he think I should come more regularly cause he likes to see more men And this class I will miss George Wheeler a prayer’s tool merrywheeler and Tory

We are so sad to hear about George’s passing. He is just what he said in the presence of the Lord. He was always kind, nice, and smiling for days. He shaped my perception of what a gentle spirited man is. God bless his family in this time of grief.

While I didn’t know Deacon Wheeler very long, the impact he made on me (during Saturday Christian education classes) was significant. He was wise and strong in his faith, but so humble. He was a great story teller and was always willing to learn and grow. It has been an honor to get to know and be in Deacon Wheeler’s presence on this side. Rest peacefully Deacon. Job well done. 🙏🏾❤️

It truly was a blessing to be in the presence of Deacon Wheeler as he is a great man of God. Although I’m sad I won’t see him again here, I’m happy to refer to him in a present tense because I know that he walked through Heaven’s gate several days ago and is safe at home with the Lord. My condolences to his family. And RIP forever Deacon Wheeler. And enjoy your mansion, which I’m sure is one of the best of them all.
