Pastor’s Update – September 3, 2022

Good afternoon PBC Family,

As always, I pray you are well and leaning and depending on the everlasting arm of the Lord! I once again want to celebrate the marvelous time we had last Sunday at our Praise in the Parking Lot!  It is a good thing to be able to worship the Lord in a diversity of places.  Tomorrow, we will be back in the sanctuary and, as always, on zoom, Facebook and Youtube!

No Adult Christian Education Class

Because of the Labor Day holiday, there is no Adult Christian Education Class this evening.  Please engage and enjoy self-study of the word.

Mens Bowling Outing

Our PBC Mens Bowling Outing is this evening, Saturday, September 3 from 6 – 8 pm at Bowlero on 117th and Bowlero. Men we look forward to seeing you out for our fellowship.

Communion

We will be celebrating the ordinance of communion tomorrow during worship. In the future, for those who worship virutally, the Deacons will arrange for communion pickup at the church.

Volunteer Opportunities

If you are looking for opportunities to labor in church or commiunity, please email me or text me (pastorlanier@gmail.com, 414.690.2520). There are many opportunities to serve the Lord inside and outside the walls of the building including some opportunities around social justice, voter engagement, and COVID/vaccination clinics.

Bro. Roy Rogers

Congratulations to Bro. Roy Rogers and family on his recent receipt of an award for his success as citizen returning after a season being incarcerated. We are thankful for his testimony after being incarcerated and proud of his success. He was one of eight people recognized in a celebration on Thursday evening. Link to Roy Rogers Article.

We look forwasrd to a wonderful day of worship in the morning!

In love,

Pastor
