Pastor’s Pen 10/24/20

INTRODUCTION.

Family, I pray you all are well. I bring you greetings of peace and joy in the name of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. We continue, as a family, city and globe to live in unusual and tumultuous times. Yet, our faith remains anchored in the God of our salvation. He has assured that in all things, he works for “the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28). Be reminded that your soul is anchored in the Lord and do not sway outside of his protection, guidance and direction.

We lift in prayer all for those who are grieving and healing and we trust that God will remain Jehovah Jireh, God our provider. Below are a few reminders and update.

CURRENT EVENTS

Voting. We are 10 days away from Election Day on Tuesday, November 3rd. I pray that we have a 100% participation from all of our eligible voters. Here is an article about the critical role of the Midwest in this presidential election year (Link to Article on Critical Role of Voting in Midwest).

Early voting information, including a flyer for free rides, is attached and I continue to encourage you to vote early to avoid long lines. If you are interested in voting yard signs, contact the church because we still have a few remaining.

I had a chance to participate in an early voting vigil on October 19, 2020 with Souls to the Polls, MICAH and others. Here is a link to an article describing the event (Article on Vigil).

Coronavirus Pandemic. Unfortunately, Wisconsin continues to be at an all time high nationally for coronavirus cases. Continue to practice safe, physical distancing and contact the church for masks and sanitizer.

In love,

Pastor
