From Pastor’s Pen, June 29, 2018

Hello Family,

I pray you are well. It’s supposed to be a hot one today; stay cool! On so many minutes in hours of any given day, the Progressive family is on my heart and in my prayers. I pray you are seeking to hear from God and, perhaps more importantly, that you are hearing clearly from God. I pray the Lord provides you with all that you need for the day.

My World Needs You

For the past two weeks this song has been on my mind and my spirit. My World Needs You, now by Kirk Franklin. Please enjoy the video by following this link. It is particularly relevant in times of division, violence, and trial. I pray it blesses you as it has blessed me:

We Got This

For anyone that is interested, I will be on 9th and Ring tomorrow morning at 8 AM giving the opening prayer in the “We Got This“ garden. For those who are not familiar, here is the link describing the program started several years ago by Andre Lee Ellis.

July at PBC

We have a fun month in front of us as July approaches. In addition to the holiday, we have Vacation Bible School beginning on July 9, the UNCF Walk/Run on July 14, and Graduation Sunday on July 15. Let us enjoy our time as a family together.

Church Family

As the world becomes course callous and coarse, it is even more important that we gather to encourage, to pray, and strengthen one another. “Let the words of our mouths, and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable and pleasing in his sight.” Psalm 19:14

In Jesus name we pray and give thanks. Amen
