I pray you all are well. We are lifting prayers for the Green, Rogers and Mathis families in the recent passing of their loved ones. Today, July 13, there will be a 10 am viewing and 11 am funeral for Minister Selena Green’s son, Alton Green. The funeral will be at Golden Gate funeral home, 5665 N. Teutonia Avenue. (https://www.reidsgoldengate.com). We lift Minister Green, Renee Williams, Wanda Baylis, Trisha Morgan and the entire family in prayer.
We also keep the Mathis family in prayer in the passing of Jesse L. Mathis, brother of Geneva. We keep Geneva, Linda, Latarsha, Tatyana and the entire family in prayer. The funeral will be on Saturday, July 17 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the viewing from 11-12 and the funeral at 12 pm.
Lastly, we are in prayer for the Tina Marie Rogers and Roy Rogers in the passing of their son and brother Red in a tragic swimming accident. Arrangements are pending. Keep the family in prayer.

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
A Prayer of Lament:
Lord, I know that you are faithful over all things, even the hard, dark times of my life. Help me not back away from you in my time of grief. Help me instead to lean into you and trust you, even when I do not understand your ways. Please keep my head above the waters of anguish and my feet from slipping off the ground of truth. Help me see you in these hard moments and glorify you in my response. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
