The City is combining its 360 Wards into 5 buildings. That means that where you would normally vote has almost certainly changed. The City has assigned the new voting locations based on Aldermanic District. Here are the assignments:
- Riverside High School – Districts 1, 3 and 6.
- Marshall High School – Districts 2, 5 and 9.
- South Division High School – Districts 4, 12 and 14 (Bay View).
- Washington High School – Districts 7, 10 and 15.
- Hamilton High School – Districts 8, 11 and 13.
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7.
Each building will be serving voters from 60-70 wards and will be staffed with fewer than 60 election workers. This will result in some waiting, some of which could be outside.
Absentee Ballots. There are still opportunities to vote early. You may request an absentee ballot until 5 p.m. today by going here: http://myvote.wi.gov/en-US/VoteAbsentee
Absentee ballots may be mailed back, or dropped off between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the locations below. Workers at those locations can witness your ballot for you.
- Zablocki Library
- Bay View Library
- Washington Park Library
- Mill Road Library
- The Zeidler Building
In Person/Curbside Voting. There is early in-person curbside absentee voting at The Zeidler Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 3, Saturday, April 4and Sunday, April 5. (There is no new voter registration on the weekend.)
